Whether you are travelling half way around the world or just over the border to Wales, our need to find a scenic beach with golden sand and oceans of clear blue still dictate most of our holiday plans and destinations.
If like me your favourite place in the world is the beach, then read on as I am going to take you through my top 5 beach destinations in the world.
Seychelles is home to some of the most photographed beaches in the world and rightly so! These beaches can please even the fussiest of fussy people with the pale pink sands of Anse Source d’Argent, which sparkles against a beautiful backdrop. The clear turquoise water of the Indian Ocean is certainly the icing on the cake.
2. Bora Bora, Tahiti
Bora Bora or ‘Romantic Island’ as it is known, is a beautiful island in the south pacific measuring at just 18 miles long offers secluded beaches, intimate restaurants and hotels as well as its gorgeous sandy shores. You must stop by if you ever get the chance and soak in the feeling of being in one of the most incredible places in the world.
3. Lanikai Beach, Hawaii
Swaying palm trees, white sand and a breath-taking view makes up one of Hawaii’s unsoiled and most picturesque beaches. Lankikai Beach offers bottle green seas and a beautiful coral reef, which calms the ocean, leaving you with the only option to relax whether on land or in the sea.
4. Pigeon Point, Trinidad & Tobago
Trinidad & Tobago is renowned for their luscious coastal line with incredibly breath-taking beaches and pristine hotels. Although the pale white sand, scorching hot sunshine and coconut trees surround it, Pigeon Point has to be the number one beach to go to on this stunning island.
5. Rhossili Bay, The Gower
Now Wales might not be the first place on your mind when thinking of luxurious beaches and golden beaches, but Rhossili Bay is a personal favourite of mine after visiting it ever since I was introduced to the world. I have fond memories of this beach, playing cricket with the family, catch with a tennis ball in the sea and more recently surfing the welsh waves. Catch this beach and beautiful cost line on a boiling hot British summers day, you will soon see why I fell in love with this beach.
