Five Top Things To See And Do In Las Vegas

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, goes the old saying. That may be the case, but a trip to Sin City will provide you with enough memories to last a lifetime.

To ensure that you make the most of your visit, here are five things you need to do and see whilst you’re in town.

Place Your Bets at the MGM Grand

The MGM Grand is the largest hotel complex in the world, and the fantastic architecture of the building is just jaw-dropping. It is home to five swimming pools, rivers and waterfalls, restaurants, shops and the largest casino in Clark County. It is truly like something out of a movie.

It also houses the MGM Grand Arena, which has witnessed some of the finest sporting and musical performances in history. The boxing superfight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao will take place there in May, in a bout that is set to break box office, PPV and betting records.

Take in a Show

There are plenty of outstanding venues for you to enjoy a show while you are in Las Vegas, and there is sure to be something for pretty much any taste and budget.

At the moment you can check out the Tony nominated Rock of Ages at the Venetian Theatre, Cirque De Soleil perform their incredible ‘Beatles Love’ show at the Mirage, and if you believe in magic then you can always be beguiled and bedazzled by Penn & Teller at their residency.

Enjoy the View

If the hustle and bustle of the 24 hour party atmosphere in Vegas becomes too much, then take some time out with a trip to the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area.

Located just a 15 minute drive from the strip, Red Rock Canyon is home to stunning mountain ranges, peace and tranquility, and views – particularly at sunrise or sunset – that you will never forget.

Hit the Right Note at the Colosseum

You’ve probably heard of Caesars Palace already, and this resort in itself is a once-in-a-lifetime trip. But it also houses the Colosseum, an old-fashioned theatre built to modern specifications for a cool $95 million.

The venue seats approximately 4,000 people, which ensures a supremely intimate experience in the most mesmeric surroundings. The likes of Elton John, Aretha Franklin, The Who, Celine Dion and Mariah Carey will all be performing at the iconic venue during 2015.

Watch Water Dance at the Bellagio Fountains

If you’ve spent your entire budget in the casinos and/or taking in some shows, then you could always enjoy the glorious sights of the Bellagio Fountains for free.

Each day they put on a spectacular light show, which sets the fountain springs dancing in time to the music. It is a truly unique experience, but don’t just take my word for it
